The government is debating whether to ban smoking in all public places
In my country, people can smoke in many public places. Only in a few bars is banned and others have a special area for smokers. Personally, I am not in favour of people smoking in all public places.
Firstly, I think that the government must ban smoking in public places because people who do not smoke are breathing environmental tobacco smoke. This is unhealthy and leaves smell in clothes and people who do not smoke do not like to smell tobacco’s stuff.
Moreover, if the government forbid smoking in public places, the consumption of tobacco will drop because the people will not smoke when they go a bar, travelling with public transports, etc.
Finally, I think that this policy is morally. In addition, this law is good for all the people and this law will decrease the number of people smoking.

The government is debating whether to
ban smoking in all public places
Personally I am in favour of banning smoking in public places, although there are restaurants where you can choose whether to go to the smoking area or not. However, there are several reasons that make me think that banning smoking in public places is a good idea.
Firstly, I think that, for example, no waiter should be forced to breathe the smoke of others. In addition, I think that banning smoking would help people stop smoking heavily.
Secondly, I think people should respect other’s freedom who want to smoke. In other words,it is well able to choose between a smoking or non-space, so you are not forced to breathe the smoke of others if you don’t want to.
Finally, if the government really wanted to ban smoking in all public places, I’d vote to ban it, but only in closed restaurants. I think that smoking in open spaces doesn’t affect anyone.

Nowadays in Spain you can’t smoke in some bars whose owners don’t want to, but in other bars and some restaurants you can if the place is larger than X squared meters.
In my opinion, if the government ban smoking in public places, people will smoke in the street and they won’t go to bars or restaurants. Owners would loose money because of this law.
Some restaurants have a smoking zone, where people who smoke can sit without annoying people who don’t smoke.
I would vote against this law, because I think that people can do what they want, without annoying other people. It would be immoral not to let people live on their own.

“The government is debating whether to ban smoking in all public places”
From my point of view the fact of banning smoking in all public places is not a good idea. Nowadays, in my country it is prohibited smoking in some places such as restaurants, bars… But there are few which allow people to consume cigarettes.
Firstly, as far as I know, it would not be profitable for cigarette companies that people stop smoking. Furthermore, people who are addicted to this habit would not be able to smoke where they would like to.
In addition, banning smoking is only an advantage to someone who smokes because they can become healthier but people who sell cigarettes would lose a considerable amount of money.
In conclusion, I would vote not to ban smoking in all places although I think that is morally right to do it because it can save a lot of people from death.

The government is debating whether to ban smoking in all public places.
Today, there are many people who smoke. Personally, I think there are some public places where smoking should be banned but not all of them. This is the situation in my country: in some public places you can not smoke, but in some restaurants and bars you can do it. That depends to the owner, of course. However, this law will change next year.
I agree with the government’s law to ban smoking in some public places, for example, in museums and shopping centers. But it isn't necessary to prohibit it in all establishments. What’s more, if the government forbids smoking in all public places, people who smoke won’t go to those places.
On the other hand, I disagree with the government because they can not decide where smoking is allowed. Some bars and restaurants have enabled a smoking area and one for nonsmokers, for example. This is a good measure. People who smoke can go to these places and people who don't smoke can also go because the smoke can not bother them.
Finally, if the government really banned smoking in all public places, perhaps people would smoke less. But, in my opinion, it isn't necessary. Surely, many establishments would lose customers for that law.

“The government is debating whether to ban smoking in all public places”
Personally, I totally agree with this law –if it would be passed- because I am a totally “anti-smoking”. Nevertheless, not everybody thinks the same as I do –what a mistake!-.
Actually, in Spain is banned smoking in some public places and in a part of the restaurants that are bigger 100m2 –these restaurants have to separate the “non-smoking” area from the “smoking area”-.
Firstly, I think that banning smoking everywhere is a good thing because smoking is not only bad for the smoker; it is also bad for people who are round the smoker. Smoking damages health, and if I do not smoke and I do not want to, why do I have to breathe other’s smoke? If someone wants to smoke, they can do it in their own house or on the street but not next to me.
I also agree with this law because it could help smokers to leave smoking –something really difficult-. And it could also end with the tobacco industry and we would avoid that those businessmen, who only sell drugs –because tobacco is a drug- became richer.
Finally, if the government passes this law, the government will have acted correctly, since it will help to improve people’s health. However, I do not think that the government accepts it, because if it was approved, the government would lose an important way to earn money for its (in fact, “their”) “full of coins” pocket. It does not interest politicians. But that law will have to be passed sooner or later because people are not stupid and they know that tobacco is a drug we have to end up.
